We're excited to announce our new way on how to keep offensive or inappropriate usernames off of the MWS Interactive Platform. Starting 26 August 2025, we have enforced a new system that detects whether your username is offensive or not.
What could this mean? This means if your username contains anything racist or offensive, abbreviations to bypass the filter, or is inappropriate, it will not be allowed on MWS Interactive and you'll be asked to choose another username. If you manage to bypass our new filter system, your account will be moderated and you will be forced to change your username.
Users who already have an offensive or inappropriate username will be required to change their username in order to comply with our new username enforcement policy. Some usernames can bypass the filtering system and we are actively working to improve it and moderating users who bypass the filter.
We're using AI-powered detection to help us block inappropriate or offensive usernames more accurately. While AI helps automate detection, we also review edge cases manually to ensure fairness and prevent false positives.
We have recently also identified that some usernames that aren't offensive or violate our new username policy are getting flagged as not appropriate and we are actively working to fix it as soon as possible. If you encounter a username that you do not think should be filtered, please let us know by contacting us at [email protected].
